More than Just Kids Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

At Forge Wrestling & Jiu Jitsu, we’re building far more than a youth program. We’re evolving into a year round wrestling club for serious competitors who want to perform at the highest levels. This season, Forge athletes stepped onto the mat with confidence and earned respectable finishes at the 2026 Section XI County Championships, proving our commitment to competitive excellence.

2026 Suffolk County Championship Success:

  • Ariela Cardona battled through tough brackets and finished 4th.
  • Niko Valenza also claimed a 4th place finish, showcasing promise going into his senior year next season.
  • Arianna Maria wrestled her way to 3rd place after a tough semi-final match.
  • Alicia Cardona stood atop the podium, taking gold and earning Most Outstanding Wrestler honors, an achievement highlighted in local coverage.

These accomplishments are not just medals on a wall. They are the result of smart coaching, consistent competition experience, and a culture that pushes athletes to grow.

Our Coaching Edge

One of the keys to Forge’s transformation into a competitive wrestling destination is our elite coaching staff. Among our mentors are:

  • Rob Anspach, former Hofstra University wrestling coach, bringing years of collegiate leadership and technique mastery.
  • Brayden Roberts, a standout Division I wrestler and team captain at Long Island University LIU, regularly coaching at Forge and leading elite training sessions and camps.
  • Jasen Batista, while the least accomplished of the coaching staff his dedication to both the sport of wrestling and his wrestlers speaks for itself. Dedicating innumerable hours in prep for many of his athletes.

With experienced mentors like these guiding our athletes, Forge wrestlers do not just show up. They elevate their skills on and off the mat.

A Place to Train, Compete, and Grow

Forge continues to attract wrestlers who are serious about improvement, from youth competitors to seasoned high schoolers looking for that extra edge. With year round training options, wrestling camps, competition prep, and individualized coaching, we are building a pipeline for long term success in wrestling.
