Building upon the insights shared in our previous blog, “Unlocking Officer Safety: How Jiu-Jitsu Training Reduces Mortality Risk in Law Enforcement,” we’re thrilled to introduce our Free to Blue program.

This initiative is tailored specifically for police officers, corrections officers, and active military members, offering them the opportunity to train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at no cost. We understand the importance of providing our community heroes with the skills and confidence they need to navigate high-stress situations effectively, and that’s why we’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.

Our Free to Blue program provides two free classes per week to all eligible members, allowing them to immerse themselves in the art of Jiu Jitsu without any financial burden. All that’s required is the purchase of a Forge Jiu Jitsu Gi and Rashguard, ensuring members have the proper attire for training thanks to Holdfast Fight Gear.

But our support doesn’t stop there. We’re committed to guiding our members on their Jiu Jitsu journey until they achieve the rank of blue belt. During this time, they’ll continue to pay nothing, enabling them to focus solely on their training and progression.

Why blue belt? Because it represents a significant milestone in one’s Jiu Jitsu journey—a demonstration of not only the dedication required but the skill, and understanding of the art. By reaching this rank, our members not only gain proficiency in self-defense but also develop invaluable attributes such as discipline, fitness, and mental clarity. Through the Free to Blue program, we aim to uplift our community heroes both on and off the mat.
